my coworkers are quick to catch on to my addictions. when i first commented a few weeks back that i cannot drink coffee anymore, one of the mommys unexpectedly reacted by gasping, "oh my god, you're going to DIE !" ...and she giggled. i'm sure she meant this in the nicest way possible. yesterday, said girl brought in a giant wholesale-sized bag of goldfish crackers. she herself, does not partake in goldfish enjoyment. this wonderful gesture is due to the fact that a few months ago, i was on a goldfish cracker binge. i had a new bag with me every few days. i have a feeling that the ever-luscious ms. platypus can somewhat relate to my addiction... --- on an unrelated note... yesterday in los angeles, trees were falling all over the place. the wind was extremely vengeful by felling trees on hapless vehicles and uprooting and bursting residential pipelines. i decided not to attempt any gameplay, for the power went out in our neighborhood three times. after the third time, i set ablaze all of the candles i own. but this caused my fire alarm to go off. so i resigned to sitting in darkness the next time it happened. ...which it didn't. but i still fell asleep clutching my flashlight. |
