much drama is making the office air thick and noxious.

the sales managers and the gm spoke in hushed voices as they paced about the office this morning. the moms and i got a sense that the higher ups had made their decision on who is to be our new boss.

the applicants are as follows:

1. yes-man is the most obviously next in line for the job; he has more clients than the others, and is even titled as the assistant to boss2. within the past week, he'd been acting as though he had it in the bag.

2. taekwondo-man is notorious for flaking on paperwork. trying to pass off his "secretary" work onto the girls, he authoritatively demands various tasks to be done. he has also been heard to complain and whine about the amount of paperwork, and how much he dislikes doing it. on the side, he's often seen with a certain lady client, who is at least a decade younger than he. this forty-five year old has admitted to raver-mommy that he has played hookie at their company, as well as a need to take the hiv test because of "all the things that he's done in the past that he can't tell his wife". so why would he want this position that consists mostly of paperwork ? hmmm....

3. martini-man, has no experience in sales, and is considered to be extremely moody. described by his underlings as mr.jekyll and mr. hyde, he is known to have brought personal issues into the work environment. this half-centurian is often seen chumming it with the gm... practically a right-hand man.

the final results are in...

our new boss is...

martini-man.

and we are not happy.

neither is yes-man. upon leaving the gm's office this morning, he promptly left the building and refused to take any of our calls on his mobile phone.

we feel bad for him. the moms and i suspect that even though yes-man is the best equipped for the job, the fact that he is not japanese, may have been the deciding factor.

there are now rumors that martini-man is "scared of taking this job".

it's a screwed up world.
