i dread rainy mornings, simply because los angelinos tend to forget about the maintenance of tires and the general techniques for driving in the rain. turn on any news station in the morning, and voila ! sig alerts galore.

i've already heard three incidents of screeching tires outside my window, and watched a man wildly gesticulate as he attempted to explain his predicament to the policemen. his car had somehow smashed head on into a wall. what a relief to see that he actually walked away from that...

CFO and i love to take online personality tests. we both believe in karma, and are heavily involved with astrology. this period of mercury retrograde, combined with the eclipse, and the coincidental planetary alignments, have caused us to delve deeper into the meanings of certain events in our office as well as our own personalities.

to summarize what we have concluded thus far:

1. we are both haunted by irrational fears: she is frightened and repulsed by snails, as i am by goldfish (as well as other small scaly types). yes. they are both harmless creatures, but one cannot imagine the power they have over us...i like mr. tuna tho... mr. tuna is my friend...

2. our irrational fears are karmic residuals that we need to address in this lifetime. ie. i was probably drowned at sea in my past life, thus, i must conquer my fear of fish and the ocean in general.

3. our spirits complement each other according to the chinese fortune astrology website. she has plenty of tree as i have plenty of soil.

yay.

4. we believe that we were brought together for a reason, and that we are to learn a life lesson from one another.

...i think i'm handling the mercury retrogade ok so far... i wonder how stressful it will become tomorrow...
