helicopters woke me up much too early this morning. grr...i don't know what to do with myself... my ear just caught something from the morning news that i have on in the background. it reminded me of what yes-man said a couple of days ago at work: i stood away from my desk poring through documents in the filing cabinet, when i noticed yes-man wandering aimlessly over to raver mommy and mommy two's desks. he mumbled to himself how he hates having to buy sandwiches for the clients. his demeanor suggested that i run over and put a can in front of his foot so he could kick it out of dejection. the forty-year-old's voice dipped and slightly raised in annoyance, "they always do this you know? they make me buy sandwiches and bring them over. i hate it." raver mommy and mommy two poked fun at him, joking how he never buys them sandwiches. yes-man has a tendency to take jovial fun a bit too seriously sometimes. so he began to give them detailed and extraneous reasons on why he is forced to do this. as a result, the girls began to give him a hard time (all in good fun of course). my eavesdropping self chimed in, "[yes-man], you're explaining too much. when people explain too much, it just sounds fishy". clearly we had worked him into a frenzy, as he spun around to face me. like an excited little boy, yes-man eagerly questioned and bellowed, "what ? what? ....TUNA??" after a brief moment of confusion, this sent me into a few belly laughs. it still tickles me when i think about it. |
