DAY FIVE - FRIDAY worry was the expression that gm wore on friday morning. it was obvious that he could sense the almost palpable tension in the air. he paused at raver mommy�s desk when he first arrived, and hooted, "[raver mommy] �san, i buy yoo lunch on choos-day. so donnto buringu yooah lunch". he then sauntered away. i broke the uncomfortable silence after that with, "...so, [mommy two] and I don�t deserve lunch or something?" raver mommy was under the impression that a pizza party had been arranged during her absence (since pizza is what is always on the menu for such occasions), and that she was being brought up to speed. after a minute or two of whispered discussion, raver mommy chased after gm. her big-sisterly heart sought to right the situation. she returned to her desk closely followed by gm. this time, he addressed mommy two, "i donnto wanchoo too misu-undahstando..." he miserably explained himself and about his brand new car, "...compahnee bought me cah. if i bought, I wood buy somoosing moah fahnshee..." it didn�t help much. the bitterness lay thick throughout the afternoon. after lunch, gm sauntered up to our desks again, and boomed, "laydeez ! i habu good nyoos ando bado nyoos� he proclaimed to the two mommys that a raise was in store for them. the bad news consisted of the raise only being two percent. i am not eligible for a raise, but i was happy for them. i thought to myself, yes, we�re makin progress here... day five ended on a slightly better note for the two mommys, but i still felt rather unsatisfied.
