yes ! i just won an 8X10 glossy of david hasselhoff on ebay... there's a rational reason behind this. i swear.

when my cousin (who is my age) from japan came to america for his honeymoon a couple of years ago, i was held responsible for giving the grand tour of oh-so-glorious los angeles, and its neighboring cities. i took him and his newlywed to the unusual places like malibu beach and other romantic hot spots. what i'd overlooked, was that they operate on the typical japanese mentality.

when we reached hollywood and its touristy attractions, he exclaimed, "where's david hasselhoff??!" i turned to him for a good minute.

"what did you say?"

i thought that i'd heard incorrectly. or that whatever those words were, had been intentionally uttered jokingly.

"david hasselhoff ! i would really like to obtain a david hasselhoff picture as knight rider."

"uh......we can.....see if anyone has one...."

we wandered from gift shop to gift shop, perusing through tourist trap items with me inquiring whether or not they had any "knight rider" or "david hasselhoff" items. i doubted it, but since i never shopped in these traps, i was unsure that these places definitely did not sell them.

after much embarrassment, we finally came to the conclusion that there were no hasselhoff pictures to be found...

...until now. ha ! ...finally. all i need to do now, is to find two more...for my other cousins...
