i can't deny it. i am stressed.

i am making much effort to refrain from contributing my opinions to the storm of oppositions and barrage of emotional outbursts on the internet and otherwise. so i will state my thoughts (vent?) here once and quietly step back:

america is inundated with too much media coverage and this disturbs me. each day after work, i found myself tuning into cnn, msnbc, etc. before i could even situate myself properly on the couch. leave it to the americans to sensationalize a war. when the military analyst stated (something to this effect), "hopefully the reporter pointed the camera in right direction...it would be a shame to have the bomb hit the target and the camera not be pointed in its direction", i knew it was time to turn it off completely and walk away.

what makes me even more distraught and disappointed, is the mob mentality. the local news broadcasted so called protesters, jumping on cars and damaging parked vehicles. is this action really screaming for a peaceful resolution?

call me passive, but while i do not agree with the decisions made by our government, all i am wishing for right now is the safe return of our military, which includes two of my friends in the navy.

one is stationed on an aircraft carrier, and the other is a pilot of a fighter jet.

to them and to all of the remarkably courageous and dedicated individuals, fighting to complete their mission, i express my support, gratitude and utmost respect.
