i'm not a happy camper.

this happened for thanksgiving last year also.

our office is open on a saturday, our sixth work day of this week, and we have nothing to do. the architects at least are able to work on projects unhindered by nagging phone calls, but for my assistant and i, the highlight of the day is lunch.

---

but, now that we've achieved sustenance for the afternoon, pure boredom reusmes its mission of destroying any inclination to be productive. fabulous.

why are we here on a saturday ?

in order for the fifth of july to be given to us as a holiday, we must first earn it. otherwise, it would be time lost, and as many other evil Bosses in this world, ours also subscribes to the belief: time is money.

so the office was obligated to vote on this decision, and sign a consent form. if it was not a unanimous agreement, we would be working next friday.

i'm actually grateful for not having to work on the day after, and would be even more so, if Boss' motive wasn't tainted with smugness.

bah. three and a half more hours of boredom to go...
